I used to be a messy person…really messy. Piles of papers. Piles of books. Piles of dishes. Piles of clothes kind of messy. While my sweet husband is not. Early in our relationship he would often say, “Neatness counts in small amounts.”
I gradually became neater, bit by bit.
Now I think the same thing about our inner state. Taking small steps, every day towards cultivating a better state counts. It matters.
Taking those few minutes to tend to our own inner state opens up the space for us to align with our true self. When we are closer to our true self, we tend to make choices that are more fulfilling – that cause less problems for us in the future.
In a few weeks, a group of therapists will learn the essential elements of AAIT along with practices designed to help them curate a better state of being while helping their clients resolve problems. It is always so satisfying to watch those new to AAIT™ discover how empowering it is to embody higher states of being, bit by bit.
Neatness counts in small amounts.
What are you doing today to neaten up your inner state?
